Where has the Time gone?

Long time, no see.

We came to Florida last October via the Tennessee Homecoming, which was lots of fun. We had about 9 members of the Fiddle group with us and we wound up playing some songs for a local TV station.   We went to a recording studio and recorded, for playing at a later date on the Tv Station. That was quite interesting.

Once here, we went on our tri-annual(?), vist to Busch Gardens and Seaworld. We did the usual looking for alligators and other wildlife, on the river. Had a problem with the water pump on the boat, pulled and repaired it, back in business.

We went to flea markets, local rodeos, local country fairs, anyting to avoid staying home and working.

on Dec 16, we stopped in to the local Dodge dealer in Daytona Beach for free hotdogs and drove out owning a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country with most of the goodies, including the stow and go system of dropping the seats into the floor. On Monday the 17th, we left for Webster/Busch Gardens/Seaworld, and it was the last time we saw Ki-Ki.  She did not show up for the neighbor to let her in, and we do not know what happened to her.  We looked for weeks, but she was never to be found.

On December 20th, we picked up the Chrysler, and said goodbye to the 2003 Dodge that we owned for 8 years. It had 165,000 miles and numerous little problems,  but we wanted the stow and go feature. The Chrysler had 63,000 miles with a full warranty to 100,000 miles. We just turned 70,000 yesterday.

Oh, the Chrysler has (a) Florida Plate, so no more NY inspections.

At the end of the year, we went to Jacksonville for the Gator Bowl Parade, followed by a trip to Jekyl Island in Georgia for the annual indoor Bluegrass Festival.

Sometime during this period, Jane had a mini-stroke, and we tried to help her out as best we could. She is doing fairly well now, but life is different for her.

During Jan, Feb, and March, Jerry and Shirley were here, and between them and Lester and Sue, we managed to keep quite busy.

During the entire winter period, we have basically remained  healthy, with no visits to any doctors, or emergency rooms.

We are presently about two weeks away from returning to NY, wnich will probably happen about the 4th or 5th of June.

We just returned yesterday from Raleigh, where we (some of us) attended the Bridal shower for Michelle (Scotts wife to be). Next Monday, we are going to Tampa to visit Busch Gardens(Webster Flea Market on the way) and Seaworld in Orlando. The following Saturday and Sunday we will be at the Music Festival at  Barberville, and hope to leave the follwing Tuesday or Wednesday.

So we have busy schedule ahead of us. Tomorrow, we will pull the boat. It has developed an electrical problem, and is exremely difficult to work on while it is in the water.

We have had beautiful weather this year. Unlike last year, when we had about 16 frosts in December, we had only a couple of frosts. March was cooler than normal, but not too bad. currently, it is running about 85 during the day and 60's during the night. No furnace or a/c needed. Although, an ocasional storm threat has passed North of us, we have had very little rain. It looks like another dry summer season.

Did I mention we acquired another small handicap kart. It folds up quite compactly, and works quite well, riding in the back of the Chrysler.

Get ready, we should be back two weeks or so, ready to boogie.
